It is going to be a DIY dress. It’s a pretty easy one, if you know how to sew, or you have someone to help you with this 🙂
First things first, start off with a bunch of old t-shirts that you don’t wear anymore, but you’re not quite ready to throw away either, for whatever reason.. Maybe you still like the design or maybe they’re such a sweet memory … from that summer holiday 🙂

FOR EXAMPLE THIS T-SHIRT BRING BACK WONDERFUL HOLIDAY MEMORIES…

I HAD A LOT OF THESE T-SHIRTS
Moving on, you will need scissors, and sewing tools.Or, you can even use super-glue if you want to 🙂 (kidding)
1.Cut off big pieces of your t-shirts, making sure you aim for the parts that you’d like to see in your new dress. Go for writings, photos, messages, splashes of color…
2.Sew them all together into a beautiful piece of fabric, following the pattern that you like.

My dresses, both made from a bunch of old tshirts, look like this:

Accessorizing them differently, you could wear them on various occasions. For example :

I WORE THIS ON REVERSE ONCE, PAIRING IT WITH COMFORTABLE PAIR OF FLIP-FLOPS, WHEN VISITING AN ART EXHIBITION

THOUGHT IT WOULD THE PERFECT OUTFIT WHEN I WENT TO SEE ROMANIA’S PAVILION AT THE BIENNALE VENEZIA…

GOOD IDEA FOR A DAYTIME PARTY

A MORE SOPHISTICATED TOUCH, ON MY WAY TO AN EVENT
It is your decision where you wear it, but choose wisely 😉
Of course, a dress is just a suggestion. It can be anything: a skirt, a pair of trousers, another t-shirt or whatever you want it to be.
It is going to be very original and you will love it, I think this could be a good idea at any age…
Please send me photos of your dresses (shirts, trousers, etc.) based on this idea, on this e-mail adress : info@styleinamajor.com. I will choose the one I like and announce the winner on my social medias….and a surprise gift will follow.
Hope you liked this DIY and i will bring you more soon.
Goodbye now!
